Defence Minister Mr A K Antony today left Delhi for a four-day visit to Vietnam to attend the ASEAN Defence Ministers meet. Regional security issues and peace will be discussed at the meeting to be held at Hanoi next week. 10 ASEAN countries and eight non-ASEAN countries such as Australia, , Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States besides India will be represented. Mr Antony is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Defence Secretary Pradeep Kumar and representatives of the three armed forces . The ASEAN Defence Ministers had earlier agreed to establish an Asean Defence Minister Meeting (ADMM-Plus )forum comprising the 10 ASEAN countries and eight non-ASEAN countries.
