Defence Minister AK Antony, also accompanied by Army Chief General Bikram Singh, is on a two-day visit in Srinagar today to review security situation in the Valley. He will chair a unified command meeting today evening.
The Defence Minister and the Army chief will also interact with troops deployed in the forward locations in the state. Antony is also expected to discuss the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) with the Government and army officials during the visit. The Defence Minister will also hold interactions with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Governor NN Vohra.
