The Defence Minister Mr. AK Antony has asked the Armed Forces personnel to guard against corruption. In his customary message to the Armed Forces on the eve of the 66th Independence Day, broadcast over All India Radio, Mr. Antony said corruption is a serious challenge facing the nation today and the Armed Forces are no exception.

Warning against human rights violations, Mr. Antony said such violations undo at one stroke all the good work and tarnish the image of the Armed Forces.
