In Uttar Pradesh, an alleged trained ISI agent has been arrested by the sleuths of Anti Terrorist Squad, ATS, of state police from Rail Bazar locality in Kanpur on Sunday. A police spokesperson told AIR Lucknow correspondent that he has been identified as Faizal Rehman from Ranchi in Jharkhand. Police said that his wife is a Pakistani national. Police has recovered phone numbers and email IDs of ISI officials and sensitive documents related to Indian Army from his possession.
Police has claimed that he told the interrogators that he has provided information of various army establishments located at Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to ISI bosses in Pakistan. He was paid lakhs of rupees through hawala for his services.
