In Egypt, protests are taking place demanding political and economic reforms in the country. Protests have been reported in Cairo, Alexandria and Suez, where police are trying to disperse the demonstrating crowd with tear gas.Egyptian reform campaigner and Nobel prize winner Mohamed ElBaradei who returned to the country last night has said that it is a critical time in the life of Egypt and everyone has right to peaceful demonstrations. Internet and mobile services are affected and Egyptian government has confirmed that at least 700 people have been arrested in the waves of unrest across the country. The anti-government rallies are the largest demonstrations that Egypt has seen in years.US President Barrack Obama has said that reforms are critical for the country and British Foreign Secretary William Hague has urged Egypt to move towards political reform in order to calm the growing unrest.Meanwhile Egypt’s ruling party secretary general Safwat El-Sherif has said that the government is open to public dialogue with the country's youth.
