Anti-CAA movement would not affect the party's poll prospect in the state: Assam State BJP President

<span style="color: #222222;">Assam State BJP President Ranjit Kumar Dass asserted that the anti – CAA movement would not affect the party's poll prospect in the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Talking to AIR Guwahati Correspondent, Mr. Dass said that party had shown good results in Panchyat and Lok Sabha polls despite protest by a section of people against the Citizenship Amendment Act, CAA. He said that the BJP led government would never allow any illegal citizens to stay in the state. He said , the BJP led government took measures to prevent infiltration. A section of people and organizations are opposing the implementation of CAA which has provision of granting citizenship to minorities of the neighboring countries including Bangladesh. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Assembly polls in the state to be held next year. Mr. Dass said that people of the state have shown faith in the BJP during recently held BTC and Tiwa Autonomous Council polls. He said that people in Assam are hugely benefited by the welfare measures being taken by the Modi government in Centre and Sarbananda Sonowal government in Assam.</span><br />''
