In Punjab, one person was killed while three were injured when an anti aircraft gun shell exploded in village Daria Walla Ville in Mehatpur area of Jalandhar district today. The condition of two injured is reported to be serious. According to SSP, Jalandhar (Rural), Ashish Chaudhary, one Avtar Singh was keeping this shell in his tractor’s tool box since long. When tried to use it as a device to repair his tractor by hitting on it’s head the gun shell exploded resulting in his death on the spot. His brother and two more persons who were with him got seriously hurt. Chaudhary said Avtar Singh had purchased the shell from a Kabadiwallah near the Air Force’s firing range.
