The Vice President Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari said that the democratic experience and challenges of India during the last six decades need to be the base for considering electoral reforms in the country.<br/><br/>Inaugurating a two day national seminar on electoral reforms, jointly organised by IGNOU and C. Achuthamenon Centre at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, he stated that credibility and representativeness of electoral systems are important to ensure stable polity and all-round progress.
