In Uttar Pradesh one of the named accused in Banda rape case Ravan Garg surrendered before Banda Chief Judicial Magistrate of the district just while ago. CJM Tripta Chaudhary sends him to jail till 25th of this month under judicial custody. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Ravan was named in the case with ruling BSP MLA Purushottam Naresh Dwivedi and was evading his arrest after filing FIR. BSP MLA had surrendered to the police on 13th of this month and lodged in Banda district jail.Victim of rape case has been released from jail two days earlier on the direction of Allahabad High Court. She is at her native village and police personnel are deployed at her residence as well at the village. The court has also directed the district police chief to provide proper security to the victim girl and her family. A division of the court comprising Justice Imtiaz Murtaza and Justice S.C. Agarwal also directed for producing the case diary and CB-CID report in this matter on the next hearing of the case.
