In Uttar Pradesh one of the named accused in Banda rape case Ravan Garg surrendered before Banda Chief Judicial Magistrate of the district just while ago. CJM Tripta Chaudhary sends him to jail till 25th of this month under judicial custody. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Ravan was named in the case with ruling BSP MLA Purushottam Naresh Dwivedi and was evading his arrest after filing of FIR.Dwivedi had surrendered on the 13th of this month and currently lodged in Banda district jail.Victim of rape case has been released from jail two days earlier on the direction of Allahabad High Court. The court has directed the district police chief to provide proper security to the victim girl and her family.
