In Haryana, the globally acclaimed, much-talked-about and widely visited annual Surajkund Crafts Mela, will be inaugurated by Mr. Subodh Kant Sahay, Union Tourism Minister at Surajkund in Faridabad, tomorrow, besides many new features and facilities, on silver jubilee of the 15-day 25th Suraj Kund Crafts Mela Andhra Pradesh is participating for the third time as the Theme State, and Uzbekistan doning the mantle of partner country.The Mela Ground has been made eco and disabled friendly.Stating this today, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Archaeology and Museums, Archives and Youths and Services and Sports, Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Vatti Vasant Kumar, and Minister for Tourism, Transport, Civil Aviation and Hospitality, Haryana, Mr O.P. Jain said that the natural splendour, historic grandeur and colourful flavour of Andhra Pradesh would lend vibrant ethos to the Mela venue, making it radiate with its mesmerizing essence in a riot of colour, cuisine and customs. Earlier, Andhra had participated as Theme State in 1997 and 2007. Often described as mini-India, Surajkund Crafts Mela comes alive in vivid colours of Indian folk traditions and cultural heritage in the month of February every year.
