Annual pilgrimage to Chardham to end on Tuesday

The annual pilgrimage to Chardham comprising Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, will end on Tuesday. Chairman Chardham Development Council Suratram Nautiyal said the portals of the Badrinath shrine will be closed on Tuesday evening amid chanting of Vedic rituals. The portals of Kedarnath and Yamunotri have already been closed on 19 of last month on the occasion of Bhaiya Duj while Gangotri temple was closed on Oct 17. The portals of Chardham will reopen in April next year as the area remains snow-bound during the winters.
