The 48-day annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas ended today, on Raksha Bandhan and Shravana Purnima. <br/><br/>During this pilgrimage, over 2.20 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance in the cave shrine despite the ongoing unrest in the Valley.<br/><br/>This year's figure is the lowest in the past decade. According to official sources, on the last day of the pilgrimage today 91 devotees including sages, who carried the holy mace of Lord Shiva popularly known as 'Chhari Mubarak', paid obeisance in the cave shrine and performed the final worshiping rituals.<br/><br/>After this the Charri Mubarak' left the cave shrine for Pantarni for its return journey to Srinagar.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, this year's pilgrimage to Bhudda Amarnath in Poonch district also concluded today.<br/><br/>Around 32,000 pilgrims visited the shrine of Buddha Amarnath during this year's week long pilgrimage.
