The anniversary of the victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war was observed as Vijay Diwas on Friday at the Konark War Memorial in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.<br />'' <br />'' The message of solidarity with the ex-servicemen was conveyed through the programme. Senior military personnel, senior bureaucrats, Police, Border Security Force, Air Force, NCC cadets, and school students were in attendance at the event.<br />'' <br />'' Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps, and veterans paid floral tributes in honor of those who made the supreme sacrifice in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. This was followed by the hoisting of the 108 feet National Flag donated by The Flag Foundation of India to the Konark War Memorial. This national flag was hoisted by Brigadier Shakti Singh (Retd), a war veteran.<br />'' <br />'' The e-Tribute facility was put in place for the convenience of the general public to pay homage to the martyred Armed Forces heroes at the touch of a button. Ex-servicemen who took part in these operations narrated stories of bravery. The program concluded with the national anthem and patriotic music by the military band.<br />'' <br />''The Konark Corps Commander also felicitated the gallantry award winners who participated in the historic Indo-Pak war of 1971 and interacted with Veer Naris and ex-servicemen.
