Anjana Dhavalu Thamake clinches 3rd gold for India in Asian Youth Games

On the penultimate day of the second Asian Youth Games at Nanjing, China, today, Anjana Dhavalu Thamake clinched the third gold for India. She won the girl's 800 metres race clocking clocking a personal best of two minutes 11.47 seconds. India also picked up a Silver and two bronze medals today. While, Rochelle Macfarlane Maria bagged the silver in girls' triple jump, the bronze medals came through Garvit Batra in boys' tennis singles and the women's squash team.The men's squash team also assured India of at least a silver by reaching the semi-finals. With a total of Eleven medals so far, which include three gold, three silver, five bronze, India presently holds the ninth spot in the medal standings.
