Indian Air Force officer Group Captain Amit Gupta has been suspended from service after he was arrested by the police in connection with the alleged suicide of former officer Anjali Gupta. An IAF official said in New Delhi today, that the officer will remain suspended till the completion of the judicial process and investigations in the case and will be available full time to cooperate in the process.
Group Captain Amit was arrested under section 306 of the IPC (abetment to suicide) in connection with the suicide committed by Anjali at his residence in Bhopal on 11th of this month.
Our correspondent reports, Anjali Gupta became the first IAF officer to be dismissed from service after her allegations of sexual harrassment by her seniors proved to be false.
