Andy Murray enters quarterfinals of Wimbledon Tennis

World number two Andy Murray downs mercurial Australian Nick Kyrgios 7-5 6-1 6-4 on Centre Court in London yesterday to reach his ninth straight Wimbledon quarter-final. Murray will face swashbuckling Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the 12th seed, in the quarter-finals.Sam Querrey defeated Nicolas Mahut 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 to book a berth in the quarter-final.Earlier, Roger Federer has also reached his 14th Wimbledon quarter-final and tied Martina Navratilova's all-time Grand Slam record of 306 match wins. The seven-time champion achieved his double landmark by seeing off Steve Johnson of the United States 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 in the fourth round on Centre Court. Federer, the third seed, next takes on Croatia's Marin Cilic for a place in the semi-finals on wednesday. Cilic, the ninth seeded Croatian, progressed to his third Wimbledon quarter-final when Japanese fifth seed Kei Nishikori pulled out of their last-16 clash with a rib injury in the second set. In Wiomen's Singles, Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova have advanced to the quarter-finals for the first time in her career after producing an awesome display of power tennis to defeat American Coco Vandeweghe 6-3, 6-3. In other matches Dominika Cibulkova downed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-3, 5-7, 9-7 to enter the quart-finals. Simona Halep also advanced to the Quart final after dumping Madison Keys 6-7, 6-4, 6-3. Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan too made it to the last 8 defeating Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic 6-2, 6-4.
