Andy Murray defeats David Ferrer to save berth in Australian Open semifinals

In Australian Open, Britain's Andy Murray made his place in semifinals today after defeating eight seed David Ferrer in men's singles quarter final match in Melbourne. The second seed Murray beat Spain's Ferrer by 6-3,6-7,6-2,6-3. In the first men's semifinal match tomorrow, world number one Novak Djokovic will take on Roger Federer after both advanced to the last four with straight-sets victories. In women's singles quarterfinals, seventh seed Angelique Kerber today beat Victoria Azarenka of Belarus to advance to the semi-finals. Kerber will meet unseeded Johanna Konta of Britain in the semi final match tomorrow. In today's other fixtures, Indo-Swiss Pair of Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis will play their Women's Doubles Semi-Finals match against pair of Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova.
