andidates make last-ditch effort to woo voters in Punjab

In Punjab , with just three days left to go for assembly polls, the candidates contesting in various assembly segments of border area are making last-ditch effort to woo the voters. So far, over 80 lakh litres of Indian Made Foreign (IMF) liquor has been seized during the ongoing elections campaign due to strictness of election commission.The liquor being smuggled into the assembly segments from neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh.Himachal police has seized significant quantity of liquor in the Nurpur area which shares border with Pathankot constituency.The Special CEO Punjab Usha R Sharma said that Election Commission is trying its best to contain all illegal activities of candidates including stopping the flow of liquor in the state.
