The Chief Ministers of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have resolved to thrash out all the problems through dialogue. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu have agreed in the Presence of Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan in Hyderabad to solve all the issues amicably without any ego-clashes. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chandrasekhara Rao said, it was fruitful and held in friendly atmosphere. He said, the Chief Ministers would meet again in future if necessary to sort out differences of opinion. He said the Chief Secretaries have been asked to sort out all the issues including employee allocation between the two states as per the AP Reorganization Act. Asked about providing powers to Governor, Mr Rao said, he was objecting to providing additional powers, which were not mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act. Chandrababu Naidu is yet to respond over the first dialogue he held with his Telangana counterpart.
Meanwhile, releasing a white paper on the “Impact of State Reorganization”, Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that the bifurcation was unilateral and faulty. He said Andhra Pradesh state was put at disadvantage by the UPA government during the bifurcation. He stated that the then Central Government did not consult anybody and the Act was the source of unjust treatment for both the states while the residuary state being the worst sufferer. The Chief Minister had issued white papers on five other sectors post bifurcation including Finance, Human Resources and Irrigation.
