Andhra Students Action Committee urges pol. parties to make their stand clear before all-party meet

In Andhra Pradesh, the student’s Joint Action Committee has demanded political parties to make their stand clear over the Telangana issue before attending the all party meeting in Delhi on Tuesday. The students held a massive convention at Osmania University campus in Hyderabad today. <br/><br/>The leaders of the civil rights and Joint Action Committee have demanded the centre to announce a clear time frame for carving out Telangana state. The student JAC has passed resolutions which include withdrawing all cases against students, passing a bill in Parliament immediately to carve out Telangana state and 10 lakh rupees exgratia and a job to kin of those died in the agitation. They also threatened that trains and buses from Andhra and Rayalseema regions would be prevented from entering Telagana region.<br/><br/>Hectic political parleys continued in Hyderabad and rest of the state ahead of the all party meeting convened by the centre to hold consultations over the Telangana issue. The leaders belonging to both Telangana and from Coasta and Raylaseema regions cutting across party lines are holding separate meetings to formulate action plans to effectively articulate their feelings in the all party meeting. On the other hand, MLAs, Ministers belonging to Coasta Andhra and Rayalaseema are holding a meeting in Hyderabad.<br/><br/>Several universities in the three regions of the state have postponed examinations scheduled during the first week of this month on account of the unrest prevailing in the state.
