Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy has stressed the need for Prasar Bharti to evolve a suitable business plan for its future.<br/><br/>Speaking at the State Level Convention of the Association of Radio and Television Engineering Employees (ARTEE) in Hyderabad this morning, the Speaker has suggested All India Radio and Doordarshan to capitalise on the credibility for their news. While continuing the social responsibility in fields like Education and health, the Speaker suggested AIR and Doordarshan to monopolise certain other fields like sports for gainful revenues.<br/><br/>Prasar Bharati member V Siva Kumar has assured that efforts would be made to extend all the benefits that the central Government employees enjoy to the Prasar Bharati employees. Expressing hope that the Prasar Bharati Employees’ problems would be sorted out, he asked the association to consider deferring the proposed 24 hour strike next month.
