Andhra Pradesh targets 210 Lakh MTs food grain production during 2010-11

Andhra Pradesh has released it Agriculture Action Plan targeting nearly 210 Lakh MTs food grain production during 2010-11year. Releasing the Agriculture action plan of the state in Hyderabad on Sunday, Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy has said 30.42 lakh quintals of seed with a subsidy of Rs 372 crore would be supplied to farmers. He further said about 72 lakh Tonnes of fertilizers with Rs 7275 crore subsidy would be distributed to farmers in the state. <br/> <br/>Stating that about Rs42,000 crore of crop loans disbursed through banks, the minister said Raithu Chaitanya Yatras (Farmer Awareness Yatra) would be held from Monday for 15 days through out the state to provide all services, technical support to farmers at the grass roots level. <br/> <br/>Meanwhile, opposition leaders Chandrababu Naidu has urged the Chief Minister to thoroughly review the existing Agriculture policy of the state to provide maximum benefit farmers.<br/>
