Andhra Pradesh Governor N.D.Tiwari has resigned. He submitted his resignation to the President on health grounds. The resignation comes close on the heals of the controversial sex tape case allegedly involving him. A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan described the tapes as fabricated and far from truth. <br/> <br/>Earlier, a local TV channel played visuals showing alleged involvement of N D Tiwari in the case. The tape was stopped from being shown following directions by the Andhra High Court. <br/> <br/>Opposition parties including BJP, CPIM, CPI and TDP demanded his resignation. Some congress leaders also reportedly urged the party high command to press for resignation of the Andhra governor.<br/><br/>
