S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is conducting an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Y.S.R. Kadapa, Chittoor and S.P.S. Nellore Districts. A lot of paddy crop was damaged in Godavari Districts along with S.P.S. Nellore and Chittoor and Anantapur Districts. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. In Y.S.R. Kadapa District, 14 people have been reported dead and 28 others reported to have been missing in flash floods. They were washed away in the gushing waters when the Annamayya dam breached near Rajampet in Kadapa District yesterday. Most of the victims were passengers of three RTC buses caught in the flood waters on the road down the reservoir zone.<br />''<br />''The Annamayya Project, constructed in 1978 was getting heavy inflows from the Bahuda river, after the Pincha Project suffered damage near Rayachoti in the district. A concrete bundle also got washed away in the morning. The waters gushed through the Cheyyeru river and entered the road nearby. Three buses were marooned immediately. 40 passengers have been rescued after a five-hour long rescue operation. Search operation is going on. About 1,500 villages are said to be cut off after they have been surrounded by flood waters due to overflowing streams and tank breaches.<br />''<br />''Road traffic at many places cut off from Tirupati towards Pundi and Pachikapallam. Vehicular movement from Thirupati towards Chittoor and Madanapalle and other places also got stopped. The rail routes were also damaged between Chennai and Mumbai as well as Nandalur and Hastavaram and rail services have been stopped. Some trains have been diverted through Pakala and Dharmavaram route towards Guntakal Junction.</span>
