Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy Meets PM Modi, Discusses Polavaram Funds and Infrastructure Projects

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently on a visit to Delhi, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister's office in Parliament on Friday. As per the press release of Chief Minister Office, Mr Reddy discussed about the release of Polavaram funds, pending electricity dues from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh and formation of new Railway Zone, with the Prime Minister. He also requested for extension of Visakhapatnam-Kurnool high-speed corridor to Bangalore via Kadapa, establishment of new railway lines improving connectivity to Rayalaseema, six-lane road connectivity for the Bhogapuram airport, establishment of Vishakapatnam Metro and sought assistance on these projects. The chief minister also met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed about various subjects related to the state. Jagan Mohan Reddy was accompanied by senior YSRCP leaders and Rajya Sabha members V Vijayasai Reddy and R Krishnaiah, Tirupati Lok Sabha MP M Gurumoorthy and others.
