Olympic Silver medalist P V Sindhu and her Coach Pullela Gopichand were felicitated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at IGM stadium in Vijayawada today. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Rs.3 crore cash reward, 1,000 square yard house site in Amaravathi and Group one cadre job will be given to P V Sindhu and Rs.50 lakh to Gopichand. The Chief Minister also announced Rs.25 lakh cash reward and Group II cadre job to Olympian Srikanth. He said that Andhra University decided to confer honorary doctorate to Gopichand.The Telangana government had earlier announced Rs 5 crore cash reward, a 1,000 square yard housing site near the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Gachibowli and suitable government job to the 21-year-old,, if she is willing, and a cash prize of Rs one crore for Gopichand.
