Andhra Pradesh police have served notices on two members of the Satya Sai Trust under Criminal Procedure Code regarding 35 lakh rupees cash seized recently. Ananthapur district police have served these notices on R.J. Ratnakar, Baba’s nephew and V. Srinivasan from Chennai to be present at the Police Station and give their statements regarding the Seized cash. Confirming issuance of notices, the Rayalaseema Inspector General of Police, Santosh Mehra said the police was trying to find the origin and destination of the cash. The members were at the centre of allegations ever since the police seized the cash, which was allegedly being transported out of Puttaparthi. The trust has recently announced the details of cash and gold available at the Yajur Mandir of Saibaba and had deposited the same in the bank. The Income Tax department was also probing the issue.
