Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana has been remanded to judicial custody up to June 7th following his arrest in YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case.

While remanding the minister to 15-day judicial custody, the CBI court has also allowed 5-day CBI custody for further interrogation into the case. The court directed the CBI to produce the minister before it on May 30th. Meanwhile, the Excise minister has tendered resignation from the cabinet.
