Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will hold talks on the Telangana issue with the central leadership of the Congress Party in New Delhi today.
Deputy Chief Minister D Rajanarasimha, Pradesh Congress Chief B Satyanarayana and former PCC leader D Srinivas will also be in the capital for consultations. State Governor E S L Narasimhan is already in Delhi for possible meetings with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Home minister P Chidambaram.
Meanwhile, the ongoing General Strike in the Telanagana region has entered the 26th day today even as Congress leaders in Delhi held hectic consultations on the statehood issue last evening.
The Telangana Joint Action Committee has postponed its proposed three-day Rail Roko agitation to start on the 12th.. Earlier it was proposed to begin from tomorrow.
