Andhra CM Rosaiah resigns

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah today announced his decision to resign from the post. Addressing a press conference a short while ago Rosaiah said, he is submitting his resignation to the Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan from a short while from now. He said, the decision has come in view of his advancing age and work pressure. Earlier, Mr. Rosaiah has called an emergency Congress Legislature Party meeting this evening. Senior leaders of Congress Mr Pranab Mukherjee and and Mr Veerappa Moily, who is also the AICC General Secretary in charge of the State Affairs, are reaching Hyderabad this evening to take part in the meeting.
