In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today constituted his cabinet with 39 ministers. The Ministers were sworn in this morning at a ceremonial function held at the lawns of Rajabhavan in Hyderabad. Governor E S L Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the ministers in the presence of Chief Minister, former Chief minister K Rosaiah and other dignitaries. Along with 28 members of the previous cabinet, 11 new leaders have been inducted into the new Council of Ministers. Five members, most of them were close associates of Jaganmohan Reddy, who resigned from Kadapa Lok sabha seat, were dropped while his uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy got a berth in the cabinet. Out of the total 39 ministers, members from Telangana Region got major share with 16, while coastal region ensured 15 and Rayalaseema 8.
