Andhra Cabinet swearing-in today

In Andhra Pradesh, the swearing ceremony of the new Council of Ministers likely to be taking place at Rajabhavan in Hyderabad this morning. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was sworn in as new Chief Minister last Wednesday is likely to induct over 35 ministers into his cabinet. About 11 new members may get berth in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet while 5 members of the previous cabinet are likely to be dropped. Chief Ministers has kept the whole exercise very confidential and left Congress leaders guessing about the size and composition of his Cabinet. Though phase-wise induction of the ministers was also considered at a point of time in the wake of developments triggered by resignation of MP Jaganmohan reddy, the Chief Minister has opted for having a full-fledged team of Ministers so that he could start his innings in right earnest. The sudden turn of events has made the ruling party highly circumspect on who should be inducted and excluded.AIR correspondent M.S. Lakshmi reports from Hyderabad that after taking extraordinary caution against leakage of names, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has reportedly submitted his list of ministers to the state governor early today. Though setting up small cabinet was considered with the sudden turn of events triggered by resignation of Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy, the Chief Minister has apparently decided to have full fledged cabinet and inducting over 35 members today. Except 5 rest of the 28 members of the previous team are likely to get berth in the new cabinet. Over 10 new members who are seniors with long political innings are also being inducted this time. However, the deputy Chief Minister is likely to be inducted a little later.
