The Budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature began this morning amidst protests and pandemonium. Governor E S L Narasimhan’s traditional address came to a close in 10 minutes following unruly behaviour of the opposition members from Telangana region belonged to Telugu Desam Party and Telangana Rastra Samithi on the first day of the 30-day long budget session. They created anarchy and chaos immediately after the Governor began his speech at the joint session of Legislature Assembly and Legislature Council. The unruly members shouted slogans against Governor and snatched his mice and broke the podium while he was delivering his address. The timely interference of marshals forming a security cordon around the Governor only stopped the unruly members reaching him physically. Amidst the anarchism, the Governor has cut short his speech to only 10 minutes and left the house in tight security.
