Andhra Assembly session begins amidst pandemonium

The commencement of the winter session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been marked with repeated adjournments this morning. The House has been adjourned twice for a brief period when the Telengana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) members stalled the proceedings demanding the government to withdraw cases against the students during agitations on statehood issue last year. Raising slogans, TRS and Majilis members have disrupted the proceedings by entering into the well of the House and demanded the government to make an announcement immediately regarding withdrawal of cases. Earlier, Deputy Speaker N. Manohar refused to take up the adjournment motions on this issue for discussion. AIR correspondent reports, the Business Advisory Committee had decided to take up farmers' issue for discussion by suspending the question hour.
