Andaman & Nicobar: Patients from far flung areas of Islands being air lifted, sent to Port Blair

<span style="color: #222222;">Saving lives by providing medical treatment on time, patients from far flung areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are being air lifted and sent to Port Blair. The Civil Aviation Department of A&N Islands is providing air lifting facility with the help of Pawan Hans Ltd. through its helicopters to critical patients, pregnant women and others amid lockdown.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">From 26th March to 8th May, a total of 15 trips have been made by the two helicopters launched for the mission. Two critical patients from Kamorta Island, one patient from Car Nicobar and Campbell bay and a pregnant woman from Nancowry located in Nicobar District were brought to Port Blair.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Similarly, one pregnant woman along with a 70-year-old elderly patient was also air lifted from Rangat in N&M Andaman to Port Blair. While two patients were evacuated from Shaheed Dweep in South Andaman to Port Blair. The test kits and medical equipments are also being sent through the  helicopters.</span><br />''  <br />
