The Andaman and Nicobar Command of the Navy plans to set up its second floating dock at Port Blair, Chief of Staff of the command Rear Admiral Sudhir Pillai said in Port Blair today.

Addressing media persons, he said this would cater to the maintenance needs of Naval and Coast Guard vessels being operated by the command.

Rear Admiral said that the command had finalized the technical specifications of the proposed dock and it would be
commissioned during the current plan period.
