<span style="color: #222222;">In Andaman & Nicobar Island, Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls will be carried out by the office of the Chief Election Officer. 1st Jan, 2021 has been fixed as the qualifying date with a focus to add left out voters or potential voters who are turning to 18, on or before Jan 1st.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A two-day special campaign is being organised from today to cover more voters and also aware them about the draft rolls preparation. People can come to designated centres to check their names in voters list. The campaign is followed by another one on 5th and 6th Dec.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The draft rolls have been placed in respective offices of AERO or BLOs in the Islands where people can check their names in voters list and also file claims and objections regarding adding or omission of their names till 15th Dec.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Public may also register them online through voters portal or ECs Helpline Mobile App. Divyanjans may also reach the BLOs or dial 1950 to file their entries this will help to facilitate them on the date of polling.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As per the draft issued, a total of 3,01,856 persons are enrolled as voters in A&N Islands. There are 412 polling stations out of which 73% are in rural areas. The gender ratio is 895. The CEO K R Meena informed that in A&N the EPIC coverage is 96%. However photo electoral roll coverage is 100%. Efforts are being made to cover remaining voters with EPIC during the updation process.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is to mention that Port Blair Municipal Council, PBMC and Panchayats elections are due as their term got over in September this year. The due elections postponed in view of COVID-19 Pandemic and new dates are awaited.</span><br />''  <br />
