<span style="color: #222222;">The Andaman and Nicobar Islands has achieved Zero Active Case of Covid-19 yet again for the third time. Now, the islands have no active case of Covid-19.  The Andaman and Nicobar is now Covid free for the time being. Yesterday, the last four patients of COVID-19 recovered and were discharged from the hospital. Two of them were discharged from G B Pant Hospital while the rest two were discharged from defense hospital INHS Dhanvantri in Port Blair. However, the testing will still be continued as per the protocol.<br />'' <br />'' Responding to the matter, the Chief Secretary, Chetan B Sanghi praised the affording frontline workers and appealed to people to continue to cooperate.<br />'' <br />'' This is an outcome of strict vigilance and monitoring of COVID-19 virus by the administration. The negative RT-PCR test report became mandatory for all the passengers coming from the mainland to Port Blair since 26th Dec. Prior to this Rapid Antigen Test was being conducted at the Port Blair airport for months. Meanwhile, the testing for inter island movement is also going on either by ship or by helicopter.<br />'' <br />''<br />''A total of 4994 cases of Covid-19 reported in the Islands out of which 4932 people have recovered and discharged while 62 died so far. No positive case of Covid-19 reported in the islands since the last seven days. The test positivity rate is 2.22% and rate of testing per million is 5,62,130. As on date, more than 2.24 lacs samples have been sent for testing.</span>
