Anand Sharma of the Congress has resigned his seat in the Rajya Sabha. Making an announcement in this regard in the House, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari said that he has accepted his resignation with effect from 7th of this month. Mr Sharma represented the state of Rajasthan in the Upper House. His term comes to an end on 4th of July this year.
