Senior Congress leader and former leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Anand Sharma today filed his nomination for lone Rajya Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh in Shimla. The lone seat would be vacant as BJP member Vimla Kashyap would complete her term in April next month.
Mr Sharma had, earlier, submitted his resignation from Rajya Sabha seat of Rajasthan. Anand Sharma would represent upper house for the third time from this hill state.

His selection is almost certain as the congress party has 36 members in 68 member's state assembly and five independents are giving outside support to the party.
