The Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma today emphasized the need of regional cooperation for free trade agreements. Addressing a conference in New Delhi, he said that India is committed to support global trade regime important to revive the world commerce. The Minister reiterated India's commitment to the Doha Round and said that other developed countries should also reflect the same on the issues regarding trade cooperation.The minister urged the Asian countries to build a regional forum like European Union have been formed in Europe showing their polar strength. Mr. Sharma expressed confidence that country's share in world trade will be doubled by 2020.
