Young Anaka Alankamony has clinched the gold in the women's Asian Junior Under-19 squash Championship which was held in Jordan. In the final at the Al-Hassan International Squash Center in Jordan last night, Anaka shocked top seed Tong Tsz-Wing from Hong Kong in five games 6-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-7, 11-7. The 16-year old Chennai girl has now become the third Indian to win the crown after Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal. Overall, the Indian contingent won one gold, two silver and five bronze medals. The Silver medals were bagged by Ramit Tandon in the men's under-19 section and Saumya Karki in the girls under 17 event. The bronze medal winners were Ranjit Singh, Kush Kumar, Mahesh Mangaonkar, Adya Advani and Aparajitha Balamurukan.
