Iran's interior ministry said that an Iranian fisherman was killed today by the Saudi coastguards for allegedly entering Saudi waters. <br/><br/>Majid Aghababaie, head of border affairs at the interior ministry, said in a statement that 2 fishing boats were in the Persian Gulf and strayed due to high waves. <br/><br/>The Saudi coastguards said the boats entered Saudi waters and killed one of the fishermen. The shooting comes amid increased tensions between Sunni-led Saudi Arabia and its arch rival Iran.
