The Prime Minister said the Centre will soon come up with an integrated plan to develop backward districts affected by Left Wing extremism. He said it will help strengthen development process in these areas in the fight against terrorism. Later, addressing the media Dy Chairman of the Planning Commission Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia said the Commission is working on an integrated plan for naxal hit areas to be implemented in 35 districts. He said a commission has already been set up in this regard.Dr. Singh said that a sub-committee to be chaired by Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy will examine the complex challenges of urbanisation and submit its report within a year.
