A powerful earthquake of 7.4 magnitude struck south-western Pakistan during wee hours today. Tremors also shook north-western India, including the national capital. Delhiites rushed outside their homes in the wee hours of the chilly night. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the epicentre of the earthquake was located in south-western Pakistan in the desert area bordering Iran and Afghanistan. An IMD official said, it was a shallow earthquake which struck at a depth of 7.4 km. A US Geological Service report said the epicentre of the earthquake was located 45 km from Dalbandin in Southwest Pakistan. There is no immediate report of any loss of life or property.
