Amrit Kaal: Govt initiates various schemes under leadership of PM Narendra Modi to empower the youth

<span style="color: #222222;">As India entered the Amrit Kaal, the government initiated various schemes under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to empower the youth. These schemes have been made for youth to acquire the right skill and knowledge for ensuring sustainable growth to achieve Aatmanirbhar Bharat.  Under the Empowering Youth India initiative, more than one crore candidates have been trained under Pradhan Mantri Kausal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Over one lakh thirty thousand youth in the northeastern states have been provided placement in the short-term training of PMKVY.<br />''<br />''One lakh forty-six thousand youth have also been given appointment letters only in the month of October and November 2022.<br />''<br />''In the field of medical education, the number of UG medical seats has increased by 75 percent, from 51,348 to around 90 thousand since 2014.  PG medical seats have also seen 93 percent jump from 31,185 to more than 60 thousand in the last eight years.<br />''<br />''The number of universities has also increased from 720 to one thousand along with 7 new IITs and IIMs across the country.<br />''<br />''In the sports sector, the government is spending 632 crores rupees to build an Olympic-level sports complex in the country.<br />''<br />''It also decided to construct a sports university in Meerut with a cost of 700 crore rupees.<br />''<br />''To promote sports at ground level, around one thousand Khelo India centers have also been opened in various locations in the country.<br />''<br />''The government has also given a major push to the startup ecosystem.  As of now, India is 3rd largest startup ecosystem globally with nearly 83, 000 recognized startups.<br />''<br />''India ranked 3rd globally with over  100 unicorns, valued at 332.7 billion dollars.</span><br />
