Amrinder accepts responsibility for assembly defeat in Punjab

Punjab Pradesh Congress Congress President Captain Amrinder Singh has accepted the responsibility for party’s defeat in recently held assembly elections. Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh today he said that Shiromani Akali Dal’s populist measures affected the Congress vote bank. He said presence of Congress rebels at 10 places harmed party prospects. Amrinder Singh said that BSP also affected party vote bank in the state. He also admitted that Congress was late in starting election campaign due to delay in announcement of party candidates.
