Amit Shah’s bail plea hearing on August 17

In Gujarat, the hearing on the bail application of Amit Shah- former Minister of State for Home will now be held on the 17th of this month. The hearing in the lower court was differed following lawyers of Shah asked for more time. The CBI is opposing for granting bail to Amit Shah, who is in Sabarmati Jail under Judicial custody after arrested by CBI in connection with Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter. The CBI had also took two days police remand of Amit Shah last week. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports, that the Several Police personal including 4 IPS officers are also in Jail in the same case. Earlier, the CBI told the court on Tuesday that it would accept the former Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narendra Amin, as an aprover and prosecution witness, provided he disclose all details of the Sohrabuddin and Kausar Bi murder case. Amin is a co-accused in the case and offered his willingness to become an approver. CBI court will take its decision on Friday after hearing the objections of eight other co-accused- including the former DIG D.G. Vanjara.
