BJP President Amit Shah has welcomed the amendments made by the GST Council to reduce tax rates on several items saying it will boost consumption, which is good for the economy. <br/><br/>Mr Shah said, the decision indicates government's willingness to take all sections of society forward as they build a new India. He said, Mr Narendra Modi government's openness to ideas and suggestions on important reform measures like GST has ushered in a never seen before participative governance. <br/><br/>The BJP chief said the latest GST Council decision strengthens the country's institutions and serves democracy well.<br/>
